Houthi Sniper Kills Civilian in Front of Son in Taiz

A civilian was killed by a Houthi sniper's bullet on Saturday in the Maqbanah district, west of Taiz province, while traveling with his young son. The incident marks another attack on civilians in areas under the militia's control.

Local sources reported that a sniper affiliated with the Houthi militia directly targeted the citizen, Abdullatif Jamil, with a shot to the head. The incident occurred as Jamil was riding a motorcycle with his child in the Al-Qash'ah area of Maqbanah district. He died immediately, collapsing in front of his son in a tragic scene.

This act of violence is part of the ongoing violations perpetrated by the Houthi militia against civilians in Taiz province. The militia continues to target residents with sniping and gunfire, resulting in numerous casualties, including women and children.

Human rights organizations have called for accountability for those responsible for these crimes.
