Heavy clashes erupt in Taiz as government forces repel Houthi infiltration attempt

Government forces in Taiz have repelled a significant Houthi militia infiltration attempt in the northwestern front of the city, engaging in fierce clashes since Monday morning.

The confrontations, according to sources, were concentrated in the "Air Defense Camp" sector and the "Al-Madarej" area. Houthi militias launched a surprise attack and attempted infiltration, which was met with a strong defense by government troops stationed in these positions.

Sources indicated that government forces engaged the attackers directly, utilizing medium and heavy weaponry. These efforts successfully thwarted the infiltration attempts and compelled the attacking Houthi elements to retreat.
