Shabwah Defense Forces Repel Houthi Incursions, Conduct Drone Strikes
Shabwah Defense Forces, in coordination with forces from the Sabaa axis and Sector 26 Brigade, announced on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, that they successfully repelled Houthi militia attempts to infiltrate several fronts in Hareeb, Ain, Bayhan, and Markha al-Ulya.
In a military briefing released by its media center, the forces stated that their units thwarted advancement operations, inflicting significant casualties and equipment losses on the Houthi militias.
The statement further detailed that drone aircraft conducted sorties as part of the "Arrows of Shabwah" operation in response to these attacks. These strikes targeted Houthi militia positions, with confirmed direct hits on the designated objectives.
The Shabwah Defense Forces emphasized that any targeting of their positions would be met with a "resolute response," affirming their continued engagement with sources of threat.
According to the statement, the Houthi militias are aware of the extent of losses they have sustained since the commencement of the "Arrows of Shabwah" operation.
