Over 100 Houthi Casualties Arrive at Dhamar Hospital Following Intense Frontline Clashes

More than 100 bodies belonging to Houthi militia fighters have been transported to the Dhamar General Hospital following heavy combat in the western Taiz and Kahboub frontlines.

Local sources in Dhamar reported that three refrigerated trucks arrived at the hospital facility carrying the remains of militants killed during recent engagements near the Bab al-Mandab strait. Two of the vehicles reached the hospital around midnight on Monday, while the third arrived at approximately 2:30 a.m., prompting an immediate process to return the bodies to their respective families.

In response to the influx of casualties, the Houthi militia reportedly established a makeshift morgue using the refrigerated trucks stationed adjacent to the hospital’s mosque. Sources on the ground noted that the scale of the arrivals has caused significant sanitation concerns, with the scent of decomposing remains permeating large sections of the medical complex.

While the cooling units utilized in the operation are estimated to have a capacity for over 100 bodies, independent verification of the exact death toll or the identities of the deceased remains unavailable. The casualties are attributed to ongoing, high-intensity confrontations between Houthi forces and government-aligned troops stationed in western Taiz and the Kahboub region of Lahj province.
